Not All Christians will get to Heaven, Why?

Posted: September 30, 2011 in Other Teachings, The Love of Jesus Christ

Some reasons why some so called Christians will not get to Heaven, even the good looking Christians? Because there is only one way to get to Heaven, that is by the grace of Jesus Christ; This is the only way to Heaven –

1. People who are born and brought up in a Christian family often think that they will get to heaven because they are born and brought up in a Christian family, but only by the Grace of God they can get to heaven, not because of their own good works or because their family members have personal relationship with God, each person needs to have Jesus Christ personally and receive him as their Lord and Savior into their hearts. (Read the whole chapter of John 3, Jesus and Nicodemus)

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life”. (John 3:16)

2. Name sake Christians will not get to Heaven: Just because you call yourself Christian, you will not get to heaven, you need to be born again, you need to have Jesus Christ personally, it is not because you call yourself Christian that you will get to Heaven, but by believing Jesus Christ and receiving Him into your heart as your Lord and Savior, not because of your good works, but this is the grace of God and it is the gift of God. (Read John 3, Jesus and Nicodemus)

3. Sunday Christians or Service Christians: Many Christians did good works and went to church every sunday, just because they went to church every sunday will not get them to heaven. Some went to prayers and have prayers every morning, but those things too are just a striving if they don’t have Jesus Christ personally into their hearts. They need to know and believe that it is only by the Grace of God, what Christ has done for them on the cross that they can get to heaven, not by works, so that no one can boast. Some people Boast of their weekly service attendants as if that open’s the door to Heaven for them, the word of God said –

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God– not by works, so that no one can boast”. Ephesians 2:8-9

4. Good Deeds Christians: It is good to do good works and good deeds, but good works and good deeds are nothing without personally receiving Jesus Christ into your heart. To God, they are like a filthy rags, dirty works without personally receiving Jesus Christ as your own personal Lord and Savior who died for you on the Cross. You yourself are not the Savior, you cannot save yourself, so Jesus Christ came all the way from Heaven to save you, and He died for you, He shed His blood on the cross for the forgiveness of all sins and your own sins, and this is the grace of God and it must be a good news to you.

“All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away”. (Isaiah 64:6)

All our righteous acts are like a filthy rags (dirty unwanted cloths, smelly cloth) before a Holy God, your Righteous acts and good deeds are only like that dirty unwanted cloths if you don’t know one thing in your heart. That one thing is all the key to heaven, the only way, that is the grace of God, through believing in Jesus Christ, not by your good deeds. You will need to know that you can be save only by the Grace of God, not by your own good works, because of believing in what Jesus Christ has done for you on the cross. You need to know that you are born sinner, needing a Savior, worthy to die on the cross. But, Christ has died for you on the cross, and the reason is to forgive your sins, you are not perfect, you might have either told a lie, hate somebody, judge someone in your hearts, covet your neighbor’s things, you need forgiveness from all these things, and you are worthy to die on the cross according to the Holiness of God, but because God is love, mercy and gracious, Christ died for you on the cross for the forgiveness of all your sins, you are made holy only through the blood of Jesus Christ that was shed on the cross.

5. Traditional prayers and Bible readings: You might be reading Bible everyday, you might also be praying everyday in the morning, in your meal time, in your lunch and dinner times and before bed times, but these things will not get you to Heaven if you don’t have God personally. (Read John 3; Ephesians 2:8-9)

6. People who think that they will get to heaven because they put their clothes, dresses, bible, shoes and so on in order will not get to Heaven, they carry Bible to church and have some achievements in some Bible courses made by the churches, some of them get their theological degrees, they will not get to Heaven because they don’t believe that they can only be saved by believing in the one sent by God, to be their Savior, who is Jesus Christ, they don’t believe him as their personal Lord and Savior, nor they open their hearts and receive him into their hearts.

Jesus Death

I want to close by this verse that this is the only Key to Heaven, no other way.

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God– not by works, so that no one can boast”. Ephesians 2:8-9

Paul write in Ephesians 2:8-9 so clearly,
1) “It is by Grace you have been saved” -(Only by the Grace of God)

2) “Through faith” – (through believing in Jesus Christ who died for all the people of the world, for the forgiveness of all the sins of the people, for who ever believe in him will have eternal life, which also means that they will get to heaven in the life that is after death)

3) “This is not from yourselves” – (not from your own good works or deeds, not from your sunday attendants or service attendants, not from whatever good things you have done all through your life)

4) “It is the gift of God” – (Gifts are not something you earn, but you receive by faith from the one who gives you, not because you did any good things to them, but because they give you gift just like that, so is with salvation, it is a free gift, to receive freely from the one who give, it is received by believing in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior into your heart and your life, and this is the grace of God).

5) “Not by works” – (It is a free gift, not by your works or service attendants, you didn’t get this gift because of your service attendants, or how much you have work for God, it is only received because of the Grace of God through believing in Jesus Christ).

6). “So that no one can boast” – You have nothing to boast here, because you don’t earn salvation, you have no single thing to boast, because it is not because you did something good that you are saved, you are saved only because of the Grace of God, not because of your striving, not because of your self discipline, not because people called you good man or woman. No man or woman, no single person can boast on this, because it is only by the Grace of God that a person can be saved.

Song – Only by Grace can we enter: At present, I actually don’t know who compose this song.

(In this song here, Lamb is only a figurative speech representing Jesus Christ, the song that we gave here is also one of a powerful song which define lots of the things that we are writing here, we hope that you listen to the song with all your heart).

Song Lyrics of, “Only by grace can we enter”

Only by grace can we enter
Only by grace can we stand
Not by our human endeavor
But by the blood of the lamb
Into your presence You call us
You call us to come
Into your presence You draw us
And now by your grace we come
Now by your grace we come

Lord if you mark our transgressions
Who would stand?
Thanks to your grace
We are cleansed by the blood of the lamb, Precious Lamb
Lord if you mark our transgressions
Who would stand
Father thanks to your grace
We are cleansed by the blood of the lamb (Jesus Christ)

Only by grace can we enter
Only by grace can we stand
Not by our human endeavor
But by the blood of the lamb
Into your presence You call us
You call us to come
Into your presence You draw us
And now by your grace we come
Now by your grace we come

We are saved only the grace of God and this is not because of our goods works, only through believing in Jesus Christ can we get to Heaven.
