MEDITATING AND THINKING ON THE WORD OF GOD FOR STRENGTH, GROWTH AND TO HAVE A GODLY LIVE.

Feed yourself with the Word of God, based your daily lives and what you do according to what you have meditate on the Word of God.

Meditating on the word of God does not always need to be inside a room, you can have ‘Meditation on the Word of God’ while you walk on the road, while you are driving, while you cook, while you eat, while you do your exercise and everything you do. Meditating on the Word of God must be a lifestyle not just 5-10 minutes inside the room. This must be our daily bread. We must be eater of the word of God.

Meditating on the Word of God is thinking about the Word of God again and again with an attitude to grow in the Lord, which means with a clean heart and the attitudes to learn and know the word of God that we may live a Godly lives, to grow in God and become more strong in God, it is a communion with God through the Word of God. Do not take it as a burden or have a feelings of pressure, let your feelings be relaxed, if you take it too spiritual or in a way of head knowledge, it will be hard for you to get revelations of what God wants to reveal to you through His words. Remember, you are a dear child of God, loved by God deeply, so let it be your lifestyle of thinking on the word of God without taking it as a burden.

Meditating on the word of God is like a cow chewing grasses again and again, and at last it swallowed and sink into his stomach. So, when you think on the Word of God again and again, God will give you revelations of God’s words for your food to eat, you will be strengthened and encouraged, you will be cleansed, you will be refreshed.

When we meditate, it is good to read the passages at least 2 or 3 times if it is possible, then thinking on the words, words by words, step by step, sentence by sentence, but not forgetting the meaning of the whole passage. Though it may not be always possible to do this way, since we can meditate and think on God’s word while we work, while we walk, while we rest and so on. God will speak to us from the word of God, we will be getting revelation of God’s word, which will strengthen us, build us, makes us strong, cleanse us and refresh us, it will be food for our soul.

Let us see a short example of meditation, we are doing it in general, not getting too details, that it may not be too long.

Romans 12:1-2 (GNT)
Verse 1
So then, my friends, (Paul here is writing to the saints in Rome, we find the way Paul relate to the Romans, calling them friends, we find his servant heart, we find his humbleness and many more could be meditate out from here)

because of God’s great mercy to us I appeal to you: (the reason of living a Holy live, and the reason to worship God is because of God’s great mercy that we have received, not because of religiosity, not because we are good, but because of this great Mercy we have received)

Offer yourselves as a living sacrifice to God, dedicated to his service and pleasing to him. (having a clean heart, holy heart and holy lives, without hatred, but with love and the characters of God in our lives, in our speeches, in the ways we view others, not being judgmental toward others, but living a pleasing life to God, putting a heart like King David, a heart after God’s own heart)

This is the true worship that you should offer. (We might be singing, dancing and so on before the Lord, but that’s not the whole point of worship, though all those are good to build us up, to strengthen us and are apart of worship. But, true worship is the attitudes of the heart offered to God, it is outside the 4 walls of church building. Having a holy heart and living a holy lives before God is the best worship we can offer to God, It is more than song, more than words, more than our services, but our attitudes and our actions toward God, in our personal lives and toward others, a heart after God’s own heart, a clean heart, pleasing to God is the heart of Worship God desires from us).

Verse 2
Do not conform yourselves to the standards of this world ( people who would be ready to be set apart, who would be ready to move in the opposite spirits, moving in love and peace, rather than hatred; moving in generosity, rather than stingy and greed; moving in humbleness, rather than moving in pride; speech of blessings, rather than curse; willing to be set apart, rather than conforming in sin with an evil friends; a heart to serve, heal, bless, show mercy and build up others, rather than judgmental; a heart of the Father God, rather than the heart of Satan the accuser).

but let God transform you inwardly by a complete change of your mind. (meditation and thinking on the word of God is greatly needed in each of our personal lives because, we are to be transformed from the inside. When our main focus are on the out look of ourselves, then we only get into another religiosity, but we must be transformed from the inside, one of the very important thing on that is thinking and meditating on God’s Word).

Then you will be able to know the will of God—what is good and is pleasing to him and is perfect. (Then you will be able to know what is good and what is not good, what things to do and what things not to do. When your thoughts are refreshed by the Word of God, it will be a ‘Pleasing Aroma before the Lord’, which is what true worship is, according to last sentence of Romans verse 1, that we find in the Bible.

John 4:23-24 (KJVA)
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Note: Important to know: We are saved only by the grace of God, not because we did all these kinds of good works, only by grace we are saved. But, we are to worship God and live a life of worship after we receive the Grace of God into our heart, after we receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.

Regular Meditating on the Word of God will strengthen you and gives you wisdom in different circumstances and situations, it will refreshed your minds, clean your minds and hearts, and make you think with freshness, you will get into closer communion with God, it will transform you, it will give you a true heart of Worship, and will also bring you to have a Holy and a Godly lives.

Therefore, we can make our lifestyle on meditating on the word of God in our daily lives, that will guide us and make a strong foundation even when anything wants to shake you, you will not be shaken, take time to meditate, this is a good foundation for our personal lives and our growth to be strong.

Be who you are, relax your heart, think on the Word of God, strengthen yourself, communion with God and live a Godly lives, that’s the power of meditations.

It is good to read the Word of God and know them, more of it, it is better to meditate and receive revelations of God’s Word for our spirit and our soul (our minds, will and emotions), to feed ourselves with the Bread of God, it is also apart of communing with God, it helps us and take us to have a Godly live.

God Bless you
