Advancing the Kingdom of God

Posted: October 21, 2011 in The Kingdom of God

Jesus Christ has All Authority from the beginning:
In Genesis chapter 1, when it said, “Let us”, it means Father + Son (JesusChrist) + Holy Spirit = One God (Eg. God created mankind in his own image).
The first page of the Holy Bible proves that God has Authority over all the earth and over all creations and natures. We can find that from Gen Ch-1.

God dedicated these responsibilities, rulerships and authorities to human, to His people:
Jesus Death
Gen 1:26 – 30 –
Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
So God created mankind in his own image,
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.
God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”
Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food.” And it was so.

Gen 3 talks about the fall of men to sin, because they submit themselves to Satan. If they summit to Satan, that means Satan ruled over them, and many blessings and inheritances that God put for His people Adam and Eve and their inheritances were lost because they submit to the wrong person Satan rather than God.

At this point, God still has the full Authority, but since men lives in sin and submit to Satan, their relationship with God was broken, they lost their Authority too. The world became a broken world, full of sins, diseases, and many other things came to this world, which are not from the Lord. The world became bondage under the authority of Satan the Devil, because of the wrong submission that was made by Adam and Eve. But God loves the people of the world so much that He wants to save us from all these things, and also from going to hell, and hell was destined for Satan and his people.

In John 3:16-17, we find that,
“”For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”

So, Jesus Christ came to the earth to die for all the people of the world, and on the cross he defeated the Devil, by his blood all our sins are washed clean, all our sins are forgiven, we came to have reconciliation with God again, we came to have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ who died for all people of the world.

Jesus Christ rose again on the third day, when he died and rose again, he took back all the Authorities that Satan has stolen from his people, He died as our Big Brother. He is God, but He came like a human, as our Big brother or our eldest brother that human would be able to use our authority given by God again.

Col 1:13-23 –
13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
The Supremacy of the Son of God
15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. 19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him,20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.
21 Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of[g] your evil behavior. 22 But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation— 23 if you continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.

The Great Commission
16Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matt 28:16-20)

15He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. 16Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”
19After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God. 20Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it. (Mark 16:15-20)
Now, we find all the Authorities of Jesus Christ our Big Brother, our Eldest Brother’s, and as a believer of Jesus Christ we need to know that we are given back the Authority which was stolen by the Devil from us, and use it against the Devil for the Lord has defeated and taken all the Authorities back from Satan as He died as our Eldest Brother, God dying as a man.

We all have authorities in all these things as a believer of Jesus Christ, but also given all different grace where we have more faith and grace to function in different gifts, callings and different kinds of workings.
Lastly, these things showed that, we, as a redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ, we are to bring heaven here on earth, even in the 7 spheres/ mountains of societies and bring the Kingdom of God as an Ambassador of Christ, making earth like heaven.

This is the way Jesus Christ defeated the world, by dying on the cross, with the agreement of the Father and the Holy Spirit. When we die to ourselves, we also are able to function in more faith, especially in the areas of the grace given to us, we gain more faith, authority has always been given to us because of Jesus Christ, but we have more ability to fight the Devil when we die to our own selves.

Philippians 2:5-11
New International Version (NIV)
5 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
7 rather, he made himself nothing
by taking the very nature[b] of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
8 And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
by becoming obedient to death—
even death on a cross!
9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.

Some Important Biblical principles that I believe will build faith for these things:
1. (Matt 27:33): Jesus Christ died on the mount of Golgotha. He was dead, Die, die and die to self, so that God can be Glorified.
2. All Authority in Heaven and on Earth has been given to me – Jesus Christ. (Matt 28:18) We can continually build our Faith through this.
3. Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant – Jesus Christ (Matt 20:26)
4. Here is one principles that I believe important to be applied to see God glorified and that we be fruitful through the grace given to His people. Psalm – 1 – To live a Holy lives, to live in faithfulness, to put our thoughts on God as written in (Romans 12:1-3),and to be fruitful.
5. We live by faith and not by sight.(2Cor 5:7)
We can now advance the Kingdom of God with the grace given to each one of us, and by faith in Him.
