CREATING A PIONEERING CULTURE

Posted: April 3, 2012 in Advancing The Kingdom, Foundation on Apostle/ Apostolic, The Kingdom of God

First of all, God is a Pioneer, a Great pioneer. Jesus Christ was a pioneer of the Gospel of the Kingdom of God. Heb 3:1 said, He was an Apostle.

Literally, God pioneered everything; He is the beginning and the end.

I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. (Rev 22:13)

Creating a pioneering culture is important:

One of the good example for a Pioneering Culture could be America. America has one of the type of a Pioneering culture in this world, if we look at the world today, most of the pioneers all over the world are Americans today and especially for the last century and today, either for the Gospel or pioneering new Ministries, even in many other different kinds of works, Gospel, new ministries, etc. One of the reason I believe that Americans are pioneers all over the world is that, they have a culture of releasing, they have a culture of releasing their Children to be whatever they are meant to be, even from Childhood they have a culture of releasing their children to freedom, freedom to be who they are. And I believe that is a part of a Pioneering culture, even for Children to be who they are from Childhood.

Apostles are pioneers as well, though not all who pioneers are called to be an Apostle, but a pioneering culture is an Apostolic culture, there are slice differences between Apostolic and Apostle. And we can create a pioneering culture in our family, church, team, ministries, cities, nations, etc.

Creating a Pioneering Culture required:

1. A culture where people can be who they are, and building “Identities In Christ” to Children and people, mainly in our SPEECHES and actions towards them. (see “Growing in Your Identity in Christ” categories from this same blog).

2. Freedom to make mistakes (not to judge quickly or to be critical quickly even in mistakes, but knowing that those are parts of Pioneering and taking New initiatives). Also, not to be judgmental of people’s personal choices: People’s personal choices which are not sins or wrong may not always be our choices, judgmental is a stronghold as well.

3. Giving Freedom or RELEASING people, even kids to play and be who they are from Childhood that they may be bold and courageous to be who they are ( A Pioneering culture is a releasing culture even for works and new ministries. In some cases or in numbers of cases, those mentalities are also important to be build up from Childhood, if not, then we can start building them, Jesus Christ released all His disciples and went to Heaven).

Sometimes, especially around the Northeast India, people walked their Father’s destiny, their Mother’s destiny, their Aunties and Uncles Destinies, what they want them to be. And respecting them is not bad, but we are to walk our destinies and not what others wants’ us to walk, work and do for our destinies. Some people want to be Doctor, Pastor, Missionaries, Engineers, and Theologians and so on, just because their parents and families put high values on those things, and want them to be those things. Many strive to be what their parents want them to be and are performing, some passed and some failed, many gone astray, many highly educated and unemployment.

We are to follow our hearts by the leading of the Holy Spirit or trusting in God even if we do not know what is ahead of us, and what must be the outcome and the results. A pioneering culture is a releasing culture for people to be who they are, and where they are called to go and do, or even take a risk, even try something new, pioneers and take a step even out of the norm boundaries. Salaries and amount of earnings are not the point, willingness to suffer even if lost happens, sacrificing needed, lost and leaving comfort zones are needed. There, there are more true joy as well. Yes, in life itself there are times of joy and sorrows, but working and doing God’s calling and what we are truly passionate about gives more joy again, and joy is not just a feeling, its strength.

The Apostle Peter left all his fishing stuffs, even all the other Apostles left their works, Government works, business and so on, they will have some amount of joy even if they didn’t left their fishing and still did the job of fishing, but when they work where their hearts are, even without guaranteed of what we may call ‘bright future’, they had more joy filled life even in their sufferings rather than being a wealthy business person, or a wealthy tax collectors. There are nothing wrong with being a business men, being a tax collector or working in the Government, but my point here is doing what God puts in the heart. There is nothing greater whether it’s business, fishing or sacrificing and leaving comfort zones, what’s important is that we are willing to leave everything and go/ do what God puts in our hearts, there there is more joy, and there are more strength and abilities what is in our hearts, usually what is in our hearts are what God puts in our hearts if we have Jesus Christ in our heart and have joy in Him.

“Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart.” – Ps 37:4

. Release others from the heart where they have a heart to work, go, do, take new initiatives, even though they might not be our personal choices. There could be many situations and other things, but the main point here is “RELEASING” them and trusting them. Let people be people and let them enjoy what God has planned for them in this one life, as they followed their hearts. (Matt 28:18 – Therefore Go..), they were released to the callings of God.

4. Not a tight holder of Traditions, but a lover of change and new initiatives as needed. (The Pharisees in the Bible do not like change, they hold on to their traditions while the Greatest change on earth began happening and Jesus was literally walking among them). So, we need to be a lover of change and new initiatives where they are needed, if not needed, then that’s another thing, but many people would like to hold on to the old when they are needed. (another vice versa, sometimes people may do things out of flesh or either self-Glorifications rather than a true heart for the Kingdom of God, and that’s different). (The Pharisees and the teachers of the law in the synagogues, which was like the church did not release Jesus Ministries as well as the apostles Ministries, rather they were persecuted – Eg – Peter and John – Acts 4:19-20 – But Peter and John answered and said to them, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to give heed to you rather than to God, you be the judge; for we cannot stop speaking about what we have seen and heard.”).

5. Encouraging ‘Taking Risk’ where there are hearts to take a Risk, even though you might not know anyone who has done before, willing to take a Risk if it’s in the heart. (Eg Mary, mother of Jesus Christ was willing to take a risk, nobody before and after had ever experienced and faced what Mary faced, we didn’t get everything in details about Mary’s pregnancy, but we can imagine the 9months of human pregnancy, and was without earthly Father, but of the Holy Spirit God, Jesus Christ was the Son of God). Mary’s willingness to take a risk birth out the Greatest Transformations ever on the face of the earth.

When Jesus Christ called the first 12 Apostles, they did not know their destiny, they did not know where they were heading and their destiny, there was no guaranteed of monthly salaries and income, but by faith they followed Jesus Christ and live by faith. They were really radical. Even when Jesus Christ sent them out into the world and went to Heaven, there was no guaranteed about any of their future and destinies, but they were giving their lives for Jesus Christ, to finish the works for which God has called them.

Paul the servant of God and an Apostle of Christ followed Jesus Christ till death like the other Apostles, there were times He went shipwrecked, hunger without food, seemed to be homeless and many more, He didn’t know all that the future would hold, sometimes in prison, the futures were not bright from men’s sight, but they know what they were doing, they rejoice in prison, they do the will of God till death, and that’s a bright future. (you can read the Bible verses for – when Jesus called the 12 disciples, also the Calling of Abraham in the Old Testament).

6. Building a faith building mindsets, though you might know the reality and the situations. Do You remember, after just a few years, Jesus Release all His disciples Empowering them with Faith Speeches for the Mission works He gave them. (Matt 28:18)

7. Valuing “Perseverance”, “Perseverance under Trails”. “Joy”. (James 1:2)

Eg: In Acts 16, Paul and Silas were stripped and beaten; they were put to prison, But they were rejoicing and worshiping God in that prison, even to the point the earthquake shook the foundations of the prison.

Let us look at from the Wright Brothers for example:

The Wright Brothers were the inventors of the first successful Airplane and so on, they were pioneers, they were risk takers – between mistakes, successes, fail and even to death. They gave all their strength, time and works, they were bold and courageous, they were radical.

You can create a Pioneering culture in your family, in your church, in your ministries, in your community, in your city, nation and country. It is possible.

What were the Wright Brothers doing?

They were foolish, they were mad, they were crazy, they were doing something non-sense, they were doing something that were non-profitable, they were doing what nobody had really succeeded, they were doing something impossible.

Matthew 28:18 – Jesus came to them and said, “All Authority in Heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore Go..” (Matthew 28:18 – 20; Mark 16:15-18; Luke 24:45-49).

Even though there are differences between Apostolic and Apostles, the Wright Brothers were a good examples for Apostolic type of functions, they have a Pioneering heart, one of the aspect of an Apostolic. That’s the nature of an ‘Apostolic type’ for explanation of the nature, though that does not mean that they are apostolic or they have an apostolic anointing upon them, because the Apostolic is about the Kingdom of God, but the Wright Brothers were an admirable pioneers in Airplane things. I’m using the Wright Brothers for the example of a pioneer.

Any believers of Jesus Christ can start something new, and any believers of Jesus Christ can be a pioneer of something, they do not need to be an Apostle, but they can receive an Apostolic anointing upon them or either a pioneering grace upon them from God. And anyone can start something new. It is possible to create a pioneering culture, where everyone are willing to take a step on something, even to the point of living on the edge.
And the Apostolic is about the Advancement of the Kingdom of God.

Jesus Christ is Lord of Heaven and Earth,

The Wright Brothers. The Wright brothers, Orville (August 19, 1871 – January 30, 1948) and Wilbur (April 16, 1867 – May 30, 1912), were two Americans credited with inventing and building the world’s first successful airplane and making the first controlled, powered and sustained heavier-than-air human flight, on December 17, 1903. In the two years afterward, the brothers developed their flying machine into the first practical fixed-wing aircraft. Although not the first to build and fly experimental aircraft, the Wright brothers were the first to invent aircraft controls that made fixed-wing powered flight possible. – Wikipedia
