Rebellion to God’s voice and the witchcraft spirit:

Posted: April 12, 2015 in Hearing God's Voice, Hearing God's Voice & The Prophetic

God speak in different ways:

When God speak, He speak in many different ways. Sometimes when God speak, it may be to encourage us, strengthen us, or edify us. Other times giving directions, showing love, bringing healing, or bring convictions. Other times giving us revelations, and revelations from the scripture. Other times God command us to do something specific.

Sometimes it is not sin, other times it is sin:

Many times when God speak to us it will not necessarily be sin even if we do not do them, but there will always be a blessing to us if we do, and many times we could lost that blessings installed for us. At the same time, many times it will be sin if we do not do them.

For example, while we were in Ywam, we asked the Lord where He want us to go for outreach. So, we listened to God’s voice, but we were unprepared at the timing because of the visas’s and other things, so we didn’t went to that country.

But if we got divine calling or divine leading from the Lord, there are possibilities that we sinned against God if we don’t do them. We find that Jonah sinned against God for not obeying, for being disobedient to the divine calling of God.

Rebellion to God’s voice and the witchcraft spirit:

When we hear God’s voice, and we got specific and divine command from the Lord, and we ignore that voice of the Lord, and we don’t want to do it, it is the same spirit of the witchcraft working.

Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the Voice of the LORD? (1 Sam 15:22)

The Lord delight when we obey the voice of the Lord. And rebellion to the voice of the Lord is like the sin of divination, which is a witchcraft spirit. (1 Sam 15:22)

We later find that an evil spirit entered inside Saul, and Saul tried to kill David. We also find that Saul inquire a witch because the Lord did not answer him anymore, because the Lord no more speak to him either by dreams or Urim or Prophets, for he was disobedient to the (divine command) voice of the Lord. All these things start with being disobedient to the voice of the Lord.

Every time we obey the voice of the Lord, we are drawing closer to Him. And every time we disobeyed the voice of the Lord, we draw ourselves farther from God. When we are rebellion against the voice of the Lord, we are welcoming a witchcraft spirit.

Therefore it is important, the way we treat prophetic words, divine revelations, revelations, and hearing God’s voice.

Sin of divination is the work of witchcraft, it is the same spirit that work when we rebel against the voice of the Lord.
