“The Heart of Worship” (Story behind the song):

Matt Redman is a Musician and Worshiper in Soul Survivor Watford church, based in North Watford, UK, where plenty of times were spend in worship through music.

So, to get back to the heart of Worship, Pastor Mike Pilavachi, the Founder and Pastor of Soul Survivor Watford church banned the band, they get rid of all sound systems, instruments and musics for a while, and were learning again to worship without music but from the heart, Pastor Mike told that when they enter the church what offering are they going to offer to God (as a worship to God) ?. This has led them to a heartfelt prayers and encounter God in a fresh way.

Then Matt Redman came up with this song “The Heart of Worship”, one of the best song ever that has blessed the life of youths and believers all across the globe. Some of the words goes this way –

When the music fades,
All is stripped away, and I simply come,
Longing just to bring,
Something that’s of worth,
That will bless Your heart.
I’ll bring You more than a song,
For a song in itself,
Is not what You have required,
You search much deeper within,
Through the way things appear,
You’re looking into my heart,
I’m coming back to the heart of worship,
And it’s all about You,
It’s all about You, Jesus.

When Pastor Mike Pilavachi banned all the music for a while, and asked the people what offering are they going to offer to God (as a worship to God), and bring people into a new dimension of worship, that was the blueprint from heaven for worship, because worship is about offering to God, offering our heart to God, offering our life to God, offering our things to God. And the revelational song Matt Redman got “The Heart of Worship” was a blueprint from heaven for worship as well.

As a result, because of the blueprints of heaven Pastor Mike Pilavachi and Matt Redman got, it not only transform their church but the nations of the earth in the ways we view worship.

And today, in Colleges, School of Worships, in Training centers, and churches around the world, they taught that “Worship is about the Heart, the attitude of the heart, and that it’s about our heart for the Lord”.
