Having a right mindset Part 2

Jesus did not taught us to pray, “If it’s your will”, Jesus taught us to pray, “Give us”, because it is already the will of God to provide for us.

If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! (Matt 7:11)

Give us this day our daily bread. (Matt 6:11)

Every parents, fathers and mothers, they have a desire to provide and prosper their children, we all want our children to prosper, Jesus even taught us, “If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children”. Even people who do not think about God, they have a desire to succeed, prosper, and give good gifts to their children, this is natural for all fathers and mothers.

Jesus was saying, “If that is so, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask”. Again Jesus did not ask us to pray, “If it’s your will”, but He taught us that it is already the desire of the good Father to provide us and give us good gifts. Therefore He taught us to pray, “Give us”, and also taught us about the character of our Father God, saying “How much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts”, “to those who ask”.

We might be in all different situations and circumstances, no matter what our condition, no matter what our situations, no matter what circumstances we might be in, we might be in a terrible situation, we might be in a situation where we are striving in life, we might be in a situation where we are so in need, we need to have this mentality that “God wants to provide for our needs”, “God wants to prosper us”, “It is the will of God”.

We are to have a mindset that says, “It is the will of God to provide us”, “He is a good Father”, and this is the right mindset to have.
