Why choose Wisdom over wealth?

Posted: September 23, 2016 in Kingdom wealth

Pro 8:11 said, “For wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire can compare with her”.

What does this mean, and what is the insight over this revelation that “Wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing we desire could even compare with her? This was written by the riches person on earth, and the wealthiest person on earth, therefore there must be a great reason behind this revelational truth Solomon got.

Meditation is the Key to wisdom:

Therefore if wisdom is that precious, and nothing we desire can compare with her, let’s get a small glimpse on the key to wisdom.

People often said, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, they seems like they have the fear of the Lord, but still lack wisdom. Looking good on the outside and being judgmental is not the fear of the Lord, it is a religious spirit, people often confuse religious spirit with the fear of the Lord, because religious spirit look good but have no love, mercy, compassion, and is judgmental, it is not the fear of the Lord it is self righteousness.

The fear of the Lord is not about being perfect, no one is ever going to be perfect, it is about loving God with all our heart and strength, thinking and meditating on the word of God daily, loving His presence and a desire to do His will.

Psalm 1:1 said that those who meditate on the word of the Lord are like a tree planted by streams of water and that whatever they do prospers. Even the key success reason of Joshua was meditation (Joshua 1), meditating on the word of God day and night, the presence of God dwelling inside his heart with revelations and the word of God, and meditation is also one of the main key to wisdom. And meditating on the word of God and the things of God is our strength as a believers of Jesus Christ.

Meditating on the word means that you think about God and the things of God day and night, in the morning, while cooking, in the bathroom, in our work place, and while sleeping, that will provide insight in our heart with revelations and give us wisdom. Therefore before the success and prosperity comes meditation and wisdom, meditation gives the power to create wealth because it is the key to wisdom. Therefore when Solomon choose wisdom rather than wealth and prosperity, God also grant him wealth and prosperity.

Eccle 4:13 says, “It is better to be a poor but wise youth than an old and foolish king who refuses all advice”. In the same way, it is also better to be a wise servant than to be a stupid king.

Some benefits of wisdom:

Wisdom provide revelations, which is the word of God, and the word of God is living and active, sharper than any double edge sword, and it is a weapon for waging war against the enemy, for personal warfare, corporate warfare and even regional warfare.

Other benefits are better relationship with God, Spiritual discernments, favor, success, advancement, power to create wealth and prosperity because Psalm 35:27 says that the Lord delight in the prosperity of His servants, He delight in our prosperity. Wisdom also protect us from different harms that can come against us because wisdom sees the outcome, for problems solving in all aspects of life including marriages, family, in teams, and in works. For making decisions in different situations, wisdom for ruling and leadership, and foundational laying for the Kingdom of God. Therefore, wisdom is way much greater than wealth, and therefore it is important to choose wisdom over wealth.

Solomon knew this far ahead that wisdom is more precious than wealth and that nothing could compare with wisdom.

Wealth of the Kingdom

The good good Father:

As one song said, our God is a good good Father, He is the best Father, the most generous Father ever. We are imperfect dudes, however, we have so much desire to bless each of our children. But our God is a perfect God, good good God, full of mercy, compassion and love. His desire is that we all have in abundant.

When Jesus said, “If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!” (Matt 7:11). He doesn’t exclude anyone in that blessings, prosperity, and abundant He was talking about, it is for all mankind, God wants to bless us all as His beloved children. We human beings have a desire to bless our children, God have much more desire to bless us.

The Kingdom of Wealth and Finance:

The Kingdom of God is filled with wealth and finances, let’s say that the whole heaven is filled with money and wealth, it is an unlimited Kingdom of wealth and finances, it has no limit.

We think of life as a human being, sometimes we worried, but the truth is that we are not to be worried, God have in abundant and plenty, more than enough, He has an unlimited resources. If we look at the sky, and see as far as possible, and if they are all filled with finances and wealth, God has much more, God’s wealth and finances are unlimited. If we can count all the sands of the earth, God have much more, because God’s finances and wealth are unlimited.

We are living in the unlimited finances and wealth Kingdom of God.

God doesn’t have a limit:

Sometimes we human beings have a low self image, that makes us unable to receive what our Father have for us, we may feel unworthy to receive them, or we may feel that He has a limit for us, but God doesn’t have a limit for us, we are His precious sons and daughters, deeply loved, cared and concerned. He cared for each of us more than any other thing else on the face of the earth.

These Bible verses tells us how much God wants to bless us and have no limit to bless us –

“A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap”. (Luke 6:38)

“…See if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it” (Mal 3:10).

“If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!” (Matt 7:11).

From these verses we can find that God wants to bless us, prosper us, and wants us to have in abundant.
