How much better to get wisdom than gold, to get insight rather than silver! (Pro 16:16)

Whatever we do, whatever we work, whether in our leadership responsibilities, whether as a team, whether in business, whether in our daily works, whatever responsibilities we might be having, whatever we face in life, whatever situations and circumstances come before us, if we do not forsake wisdom, wisdom will protect us.

Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you. (Pro 4:6)

Abraham Lincoln said, “I have been driven many times upon my knees by the overwhelming conviction that I had no where else to go. My own wisdom and that of all about me seemed insufficient for that day.”

Therefore 2 MAIN KEYS to be filled with wisdom are:-

1. A deep desire to do the will of God: The person who has a deep desire to do the will of God is filled with wisdom. Do it God’s Way, “Your will be done”, that’s wisdom.

2. Meditation: (The word of God consist of all the characters and natures of God, meditating on the characters and natures of God, THAT WILL PROVIDE US MORE WISDOM, The Goodness of God, His Mercy, His love, His fatherhood, His greatness, His marvelous deeds, what He has done for us, and on his laws and on his words), Continually putting our thoughts on the laws of the Lord/ on the word of God. The person who continually meditate, who continually put his thoughts on the law of the Lord is filled with wisdom.

The Apostle Paul puts it this way – “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then YOU WILL BE ABLE to test and approve WHAT GOD’S WILL IS–his good, pleasing and perfect will”. (Romans 12:2)

And wisdom help us to decide – How should I take a step? How should I do this? How should I handle this? How should I handle this responsibilities? How should I face this situation?

What God’s will is – (Rom 12:2)
1. His Good will
2. His Pleasing will
3. His Perfect will

And Meditation can be done any time, we can always think about God, about His laws, about His words, continually putting our thoughts on the things of God. While we work, while we have conversations with our customers, while we have conversation with friends, while we drive, while making plans, while discussing things, in a quiet place, while walking in the street, and any time of our days we can always put our thoughts on the word of God.

One of the main KEY God gave Joshua to handle his leadership responsibilities of leading the Israelites is “To be careful to obey all the laws, to think and put his thoughts on the laws of the Lord day and night”.

Joshua 1:7-8

Be careful to obey all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, so that you may have success wherever you go (in every areas).

“This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success.

Wisdom is practical, it is revelational as well as practical, therefore it required taking step of obedient. The person who meditate on the law of the Lord is filled with wisdom.

(Both means “Words”)
Logos – The written word of God, the Bible
Rhema – The spoken word of God

Logos = written word, usually referring to revelation as found in the Old and New Testaments
Rhēma = spoken word, usually referring to additional revelation that extends beyond the written word of Scripture

Rhema word of God – A Bible verse or story jump up into your thought, and is highlighted in your thought. Sometimes God can take scripture out of context to speak to you, however we still need to know the overall meaning of the scripture, the context.

Rhema Word of God – The characters and natures of God, or “Who God is” is highlighted into your thought

Rhema Word of God – God can speak to you through anything, quotes of people, new revelations, however Rhema will not contradict the written word of God (the Logos), as well as the characters of God and WHO GOD IS. Rhema is said to be the true leading of the Holy Spirit.

Rhema is the word that God gives to your current situation and circumstances, is alive, quickening, specific word to you personally. Rhema might be for your personal life, family, for your church, ministry or for the Kingdom of God, which speaks for your current situations and circumstances, and what you should be doing.

Sometimes Rhema word –

– Tells us how much He loves us, or bringing comfort and healing into our lives through Bible stories or other scriptures and verses, and motivating us.
– Tells us how we must be living,
– Could be the Lord giving direction to us and what we must be doing.

When you were born again, and God speak to your heart about His love, and you received God’s love into your heart, you received the keys of Heaven, you unlock the Kingdom of Heaven on earth for yourself, that’s a Rhema word of the Lord you were receiving.

Examples of Rhema –

1. All things are possible – Mark 9:23
2. Expect great things from God, attempt great things for God – quote by William Carey
3. God’s love is unconditional
4. God will provide
5. Almighty God

You can wait on God to speak to you for your current situation or circumstances, personally, or for your work and ministry. YOU CAN WAIT ON GOD TO GIVE YOU SPECIFIC BIBLE VERSE OR WORDS for your current situation or circumstance to direct your path.

What is the use of revival if it died again and need renewed always.. there’s no use for that, a plant must continually receive water or else it dried up, if it only receive water few times in a year, then it either died or dried up, and may be needed to be thrown or revived, but if water is continually given all through the year and years, it is continually renewed, it didn’t need revived.

If You do not have a revived life, don’t expect to serve God, they would only be human doing, and it can be deceitful.

He is like a TREE PLANTED BY STREAMS OF WATER, which yields its fruit in season and WHOSE LEAF DOES NOT WITHER, whatever he does prosper.

The Bible without the Holy Spirit can be deceitful, while the Bible with the Holy Spirit became God’s word and God’s Voice, and became the best book, and because of the Holy Spirit that makes it alive. The word of God is living and active, sharper than any double edge sword.

Meditation, The renewing of the minds and the presence of God are also 3 things that are related to a Revived Life.

Two important things to know and remember when reading this:
1. God revealed the truths that were closed and not made know in generations to His Holy Apostles and Prophets. They are like pioneers of the truths of God’s words or revelations, or other revelations they receive by the Spirit of the Lord.
2. After the Church and the Body of Christ embrace those truths, teachers taught and get revelations from them and taught them to the Church, to the Body of Christ or in a region.

First of all, it is important for the believers of Jesus Christ that we learn and read the word of God in context, without reading in context, we read it in a fragmented ways. For Example Ephesians 6:1-4.

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother”—which is the first commandment with a promise— “that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.” (Verse 1-3)
Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord. (Ephesians 6:1-4)

For many of us living in the Northeast India, India and many parts of Asia, We might have heard verse 1 to 3 100’s of times, or 1000’s of times but never give ears to the 4th verse, or we only knows somehow with the head and not the heart. Children are to obey, but parents and guardians are not to abuse in words, in actions or any other things, or make them frustrate (exasperate). when we read out of context, we took only the part of the verse and neglect the other parts, unless the Holy Spirit took it out of context, only the Holy Spirit can took the scriptures out of context according to the needs and situations.

We might have heard 100’s, may be even 1000’s what Children has to do, but because we have not heard 100’s and may be 1000’s that Fathers (guardians, father and mother’s) has to do because of our upbringing of our cultures, they are not to make them angry, frustrate and exasperate, especially those parts, they are not to abuse them with words or actions or anything else, so we create a culture of Authoritarian culture, rather than a culture of fatherhood. God’s desire is to create a culture of Fatherhood and not Authoritarian culture. If we have preach or teach, told or heard about children to obey 100’s or 1000’s of times, we are to taught what parents and guardians has to do 100’s or 1000’s of times in our cultures for redeeming and restorations of the Jesus cultures, or else teach them together in one teachings, because a family is not about giving an order, it is about relationship.

Especially this verse of Ephesians 6:1-4 is talking about family, family’s number 1 is about relationship and friendship. My wife and I, my children and I, that we have good relationship and friendship that is number 1 for a family, but if we take it out of context, we create another culture of what the Bible does not mean at all. We only create a culture of institution and authoritarian cultures, while God’s desire is God’s culture, Jesus Culture, it must be a culture of family, friendship and relationship, because a family is not an institution, even if we are in an institution, the words of God are still relevant for institutions.

Even the second part is to bring them up in the training and instructions of the Lord, the training and instructions of the Lord is about God’s ways and will, and to know God’s ways and will we really really need to know Who our God is all about, but if we do not know who our God is all about, then we cannot train or give God’s instructions with life, it became death laws without life.

He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant–not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. (2 Cor 3:6)

We must remember that we are people of the New Covenant and not of the law. So, it is not about putting children under a law, it is about instructing them with God, we need to know who our God is all about, and then giving instructions from knowing who our God is. Giving training and instructions must not be a boredom some kind of things in general for the kids. It is also not about taking them to religiosity, but to Jesus and His ways. Sometimes some parts of the scriptures are closed for generations, and we also need the Apostles and the Prophets to get revelations and open the scriptures. We knows with our ears, but our hearts are closed. sometimes, many parts of the scriptures are closed because of the cultures we are brought up, our mindsets are contrast to God’s words, so God needs to break them down with the revelations of the Apostles and the Prophets that He will sent. So, God will sent Apostles and Prophets to open up the scriptures which are closed for generations which are usually closed because of the cultures, and it became the present truth message, and we call it either Present Truth Apostles and Prophets.

In reading this, then, you will be able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ, which was not made known to men in other generations as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to God’s holy apostles and prophets. (Ephesians 3:4-5)

These verses here also shows that God revealed Christ and His ways which were not made known to other generations to be made known by His holy Apostles and Prophets.

Then, what the Apostles and Prophets has revealed, teachers will continue teachings with those revelations, getting revelations from what the Apostles and Prophets has unlock the code to the generation.

If we look at the old testaments, most of the 39 books were written by Prophets, some of them also have the gifts of an Apostle. If we look at the 27 books of the New Testament, most of them were written by Apostles. So, God revealed them to His Apostles and Prophets, then later teachers taught them. So it is today, God still give revelations to His Apostles and Prophets, things that were not made known or were closed for generations, which were usually because of the cultural mindsets, traditionalism and cultural views.

We have taught on our other writing about reading the Bible in context, and about Apostles and Prophets as well. Now it comes together with the teachers teaching the Word of the Lord in context, and Apostles and Prophets opening the doors of revelations which were not really made known or scriptures that were closed or death in the hearts of people for generations, or other revelations they receive from the Lord.

For example:
1. In some cultures “Respecting Children”, not only the older one’s, which means respecting one another,
2. “Apostles and Prophets”, “the 5 fold Ministries” and many other more.

Apostles and Prophets revealed the truths that were closed for generations to the church and the Body of Christ, which were closed or not made known to other generations because of the cultural mindsets, traditionalism and cultural views. After the Church and the Body of Christ embrace those truths, then later, teachers continue teaching with revelations to the church and the Body of Christ, which the Apostles and Prophets has revealed in the church, in the Body of Christ or in a region.

So, we greatly need the Apostles and the Prophets to be restored, received and welcomed into the Body of Christ, because they are the foundations of the church. Let them reveal truths to the generations, things which were not really made known in other generations.

The sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. (Ephesians 6:17b)

“My food,” said Jesus, “is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work. (John 4:34)

“Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a SWORD. – Jesus Christ (Matt 10:34)

Then Jesus asked them, “When I sent you without purse, bag or sandals, did you lack anything?”
“Nothing,” they answered.
He (Jesus Christ) said to them, “But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don’t have a SWORD, sell your cloak and buy one. ( Luke 22:35-36)
The SWORD is the TRUTH of God’s Words to CUT OFF FROM THE HEART. – Greed, Lies, Corruptions, Self-comfort, Performance orientations, Hatred, Fashion Addictions, Seducing spirits, Jealousy, Judgmental, Envy, Self-Justifications, Lust of Money and wealth, Lust of Controlling spirits, Rebellious spirits, Self Righteousness, Self Goodness, Self-Centeredness, Traditionalism, Condemning Words and Blaspheming the Name of God. Now, Open Your Hearts and Take the TRUTHS with YOU, let THE SWORD CUT through your HEART. The Sowrd of the Spirit is the Truths of God’s Words, it is a Spiritual weapons that God gave us for every believers of Jesus Christ in our lives, our growth and to fight against the enemy, the Devil.

For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged SWORD, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. – Paul (Heb 4:12)

There is the Abundant of Grace to whom ever goes before God in repentance, their sins will be forgiven, for God is a Good God, a Merciful and Gracious God and a God who is ready to forgive all sins.

The Bible:

On one of the notes written by Dave, we wrote about, “Some few importance of the word of God”, so this is apart of the continuation of that particular note.

When we read or study the word of God, we need to have a receiving heart, mind, big eyes and big ears to observed the written words of God. We need to have the heart to learn, which is an open mind rather than already made up mind or wanting to prove what we have already heard or knows about the scriptures we are reading, studying or meditating. We need to be like a little child who started learning the alphabets, and we are to grow in our understanding of God’s word.

When we read the word of God with already making conclusions about the story as if we have known everything and the hidden truths, we can stop the blessings and the understandings that we are to receive, the understandings and what God wants to reveal to us through the scriptures. So, our conclusions when reading the word of God must be in the end and not the beginning.

If we don’t read the word of God step by step or verse by verse (context), we can sometimes lost all the meanings of the scriptures we are reading or can even be used to support errors when not reading in context. It can sometimes even take us to the opposites or the characters and natures of God when reading in a fragmented ways and only picking up some of our favorite parts.

For Eg: If we only take one sentence from Ps 14:1, it says, “There is no God”,
but if we take it into context, it says, “The fool says in his heart, there is no God”.

So, the word of God said that it is the fools who said, “there is no God”, of course there is God. So, it is important to read verse by verse when reading the word of God, it is also important to knows who said the passage and to whom.

On the other hand of this, there must be 100’s and 1000’s of hidden treasures in each of the verses of the words of God, and it’s the Holy Spirit who can reveal those things to us, sometimes He may take them little bit out of context, but will not contradict the characters and natures of God. One of the ways God speak to His people is through the Scriptures, the Bible.

In one of the proverbs of Solomon copied by the men of Hezekiah, that is Prov 25:2 – “It is the Glory of God to conceal a matter, to search out a matter is the glory of kings”. As a believer, as kings and priests of the new testaments, we can include the revelations of the words of God here.

Jer 33:3 said, “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know”.

Today, we now have the word of God as one of the very important ways where God can tell us great and unsearchable things we do not know.

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2Tim 3:16-17)

Let us have a short study on this scripture:

1. All Scripture is God-breathed: (Inspired by the Spirit of God, it has got God’s power and the backing up from God when taken with a right motives, right heart and minds).
and is useful for

2. Teaching: giving instructions, directions, understandings, to know what to do and what not to do, in our Christian’s walk and journey),

3. Rebuking: Confrontations, Constructive criticisms.

4. Correcting: Giving corrections on wrongs and sins of what people do, not out of anger, not out of frustrations, not out of false motives, everything must be done out of pure love weather it need a little bit strong corrections or not.

5. Training in righteousness: (Living under good teachings will train you to walk in righteousness, much more than your ability, but with God’s abilities along with you, it will gives you power and ability to overcome and to live a righteous and holy lives, you will see that most training taken in a Christian courses will include many teachings from God’s Words or Biblical based, that people may walk and live a righteous lives).

6. This is the result: “So that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work”.
So, scriptures can be used for teachings, correctings and for training in righteousness, but the purpose and results for all these is that the people of God, the believers may be “THOROUGHLY EQUIPPED FOR EVERY GOOD WORK” (That there would be completeness, they would be made whole in all areas, in lives, in speeches, in actions, in thinking, in holiness, in faithfulness, and walking in a Godly lives, and into the ‘fruits of the spirits’.

The Word of God (the Bible) is useful for our training and guidance as a believer of Jesus Christ in our journey to heaven, while we are on this earth.

The Word of God must be read and taken in context unless we took them out of context through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Even if we do take them out of context through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, we still need to keep in mind about the reality of the scripture in context.

We may be functioning in any gifts of the Holy Spirit, any kinds of good works or any kinds of ministry, one of the very important thing is that we continue to grow in our understandings of the Word of God. Without continually growing in our understandings of the word of God there will be limitations in our Christian growth. We must be and we need to be people who are always willing to learn, even learning new things.

When we have an understanding of the word of God and a Revelations of God’s word, it is one of a great part that we grow in maturity in our walk with God. The word of God teaches us, cleansed us, direct our parts, convicts us and gave us wisdom in our daily walk. I believe it is one of the great weapon in transforming our lives. In Romans 12:2, The Apostle Paul told us that we are to be ‘transformed by the renewing of our minds’. For this transformations to take place in one’s own life, one of the very important thing is that we take time in Bible reading and studying, knowing the power of God that can transform our lives and that it will give us wisdom in our daily works.

One of the most powerful yet simple Bible Study I had ever attend is while we were in “Worship Team”. We went far away outside the city as a team to strengthen ourselves. One Morning, we had a Bible Study with one of our friend Manuna, who is also apart of our team at present in ‘Kingdom of Heaven Apostolic Ministries’. As he was leading us and we were Studying the Bible in a very simple way, one of our friend’s eyes got healed, she was actually not able to read the Bible because of her eye problem, now she rejoice and was happy that she could read the Bible. So, similar to that, we might not see physical manifestations or anything, but God’s word is powerful, it can transform our lives, it will direct our lives, it will teach us wisdom, it will help us in our daily lives.

It is the best book we can ever have and know, or read, to transform one’s life and to renew our minds, it will cleansed us and teach us how we should be living our lives, when truly digging to the words, many times small things matter to Him, but on the other hand, “God is Gracious, Merciful and Forgiving”.

So, the word of God is useful for transformation of our lives, to cleansed us from our dirt, to teach us God’s ways, to instruct us and give us directions, lead us to the ways of God, convict us of our sins, cleanse our minds, thoughts and our life.

Every scripture inspired of God is also profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction which is in righteousness. That the man of God may be complete, furnished completely unto every good work. 2Tim 3:16-17 (American Standard Version).
Such a Cool Bible verses we find here – “The Man of God may be complete, Furnished Completely unto Every Good Work”. So, we could say that it is an important thing that we continue to grow in our understanding of the Word of God.
The Word of God also gives us instructions on how we should be living our lives, what to do and what not to do, when we get the meaning and we read and study.
